This page covers how BaseFit turns movement into rewards: the energy system that paces earnings, the formula that sizes them, and the bonuses that stack on top.
The energy system
Energy is your earning budget. You earn rewards only while spending energy, and each activity drains it at a fixed rate (see Activity Types). Key rules:
- Energy refills gradually over time, throughout the day.
- Your maximum energy grows as you own and upgrade more sneakers.
- When energy hits zero, earning stops — movement still counts for stats and quests.
How rewards are calculated
Rewards are distributed from a daily pool funded by platform fees and treasury allocation, shared in proportion to the energy each user spends:
Daily Reward Pool = (Platform Fees + Treasury Allocation) / 365
User Reward = (User Energy Spent / Total Network Energy) × Daily Pool
• Minimum: 0 (no activity, no reward)
• Maximum: capped per sneaker rarityYour individual amount is then shaped by your sneaker's attributes — Efficiency lifts the BFIT portion and Comfort lifts the USDC portion — and by the activity's reward multiplier.
Reward composition
Each payout is split across two assets:
- ~70% USDC — stable value, funded by real platform fees.
- ~30% BFIT — the utility token used across the app.
Bonuses & multipliers
- Streaks — moving on consecutive days increases your bonus, scaling up to 30 days.
- Daily quests — complete the day's challenges for extra rewards.
- Team play — squads and guilds add shared multipliers; the Social attribute boosts these.
- Mystery boxes — a Luck-based chance to drop gems and items after activities.
Claiming
After an activity is verified, your reward becomes claimable to your connected wallet on Base. Low network fees keep claiming cheap, so you can collect often.
