BaseFit supports five activity types. Each is tracked differently, costs a different amount of energy, and carries its own reward multiplier. Higher-intensity activities cost more energy but reward more per unit of effort.
Overview
| Activity | Tracking method | Energy cost | Reward multiplier |
|---|---|---|---|
| Walking | GPS + pedometer | 0.5 / 10 min | 1.0× |
| Running | GPS + accelerometer | 1.0 / 10 min | 1.5× |
| Cycling | GPS + speed | 1.5 / 10 min | 2.0× |
| Swimming | Manual + smartwatch | 2.0 / 10 min | 2.5× |
| Gym workout | Manual + photo proof | 1.0 / 30 min | 1.2× |
Walking
The most accessible activity. Tracked by GPS and your phone's pedometer, walking is ideal for the Walker sneaker and great for everyday earning at a steady 1.0× rate.
Running
Tracked by GPS plus accelerometer gait analysis. Running rewards a 1.5× multiplier and pairs best with Jogger and Runner sneakers. Stay inside your sneaker's optimal speed band for full efficiency.
Cycling
Uses GPS and speed validation. Cycling covers more distance and carries a 2.0× multiplier, but also the highest GPS-based energy cost. Speed consistency checks apply to prevent vehicle spoofing.
Swimming
Logged manually or synced from a smartwatch (Apple Watch / Wear OS). Swimming has the top 2.5× multiplier to reflect its intensity, but requires a connected wearable for verification.
Gym workout
For strength and indoor training. Sessions are verified with photo or video proof analyzed by an AI model (pose estimation and equipment detection). Gym mode rewards a 1.2× multiplier per 30 minutes.
